Currently based in Paris, I am a freelance documentary photographer mixing reportage and portrature to reproduce the honest and personal interactions I have with my subjects.
I received a Bachelors in Photojournalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and have pursued subjects and topics largely through that lens, both home and abroad. I spent a semester at the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Aarhus, Denmark. This began my love affair with Europe bringing me to Paris a year and a half later.
I’ve worked for numerous publications, both in the US and Europe and continue to look for interesting stories and images wherever I go. Currently I am working on a long term project creating portraits of drug users in Paris who will use a "salle de shoot" (or safe drug consumption room) that will open late 2016.
In adition to my documentary work, I, with my friend and fellow photographer Alexander J.E. Bradley, opperate aperturetours.com, an educational photography tour company in Paris.
